SCENE 1:- SLANDERING

MEANING: Utterance of false charges to damage another's reputation.

X to Y: "Most people in this office think you are an incompetent Team Member."

BIBLE WARNS:  As written in James 4:11, "Do not criticize one another, my friends. If you criticize or judge another Christian, you criticize and judge the Law. If you judge the Law, then you are no longer one who obeys the Law, but one who judges it."


SCENE 2:- DISHING THE DIRT



MEANING: To disclose or discuss private or personal information.

X TO Y: "Mr. Z is no saint. He has two Girl Friends."

BIBLE WARNS: As written in James 5:9, "Do not complain against one another, my friends, so that God will not judge you. The Judge is near, ready to appear."


SCENE 3:- BACK BITTING



MEANING: To say mean or spiteful things.

X TO Z: "Y said to other team members that you are divorcing."

BIBLE WARNS: As written in Psalms 101:5, "I will get rid of anyone
    who whispers evil things about someone else;
I will not tolerate anyone
    who is proud and arrogant."


SCENE 4:- MOCKERY




MEANING: A Subject of laughter, insulting action or speech.

X TO Y: "Maybe, z is getting old for his wife [ha ha ha]"

BIBLE WARNS: As written in Proverbs 21:24, "Show me a conceited person and I will show you someone who is arrogant, proud, and inconsiderate."

SCENE 5:- RUMORS




MEANING: A statement with out known authority for its truth.

X TO Y: "When Mr. Z came out of the meeting, he looked really angry. I bet he made mistakes."or any statement with famous one-liner, "Did you know?"

BIBLE WARNS: As written in Proverbs 13:03, "Be careful what you say and protect your life. A careless talker destroys himself."

SCENE 6:- PLANTING SEEDS OH NO! WEEDS


                                                               
  
MEANING: A statement with out known authority for its truth.

X TO Z: "I'm sorry about your divorce, but don't trust anyone in this world not even your wife."

BIBLE WARNS: As written in James 3:05, "So it is with the tongue: small as it is, it can boast about great things.Just think how large a forest can be set on fire by a tiny flame!"

Can you place yourself in any of those or related dialogue. 

  • If the answer is Yes, then admit YOU GOSSIP.
  • If the answer is NO, then Praise the Lord!
  • If you are trying to defend yourself saying,"My Intention was good", then be of good cheer."Man looks at the outward appearance, God sees your Heart."

It is a complete myth when we say, "women and gossipers meet in parallel lane."
It's not about gender. Every man goes through or fights against their urge and temptation to gossip.
