GREETINGS TO ALL IN THE PRECIOUS NAME OF OUR LORD AND SAVIOR, JESUS CHRIST!
- We meditated on this wonderful mystery last time that how wonderfully and fearfully I am made!
- Today we will meditate about the first encounter of John-The Baptist and Jesus.
- When Mother Mary visited Mother Elizabeth, We see that the child leaped in her womb for joy.
- Don't you want to experience this very beautiful presence! God wants the same for you and me.
- In His presence, you shall leap with joy.
- You may feel dark but remember you are safe inside the womb. His love will carry you!
"I will comfort you...as a mother comforts her child." (Isaiah 66:13)
- Elizabeth testifies saying: "For indeed, as soon as the voice of your greeting sounded in my ears, the baby leaped in my womb for joy" (St.Luke 1:44). Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit, at the sound of St Mary’s greeting.
- In obtaining the Holy Spirit,she also obtained the gift of prophecy and revelation, for she was able to understand that St Mary was the Mother of her Lord and she believed those things which were told her from the Lord.
- She also knew that the leaping of the baby was "for joy".(His Holiness Pope Shenouda III )
- The verb “leap” used in (St. Luke 1:41, 44) is the same used for David’s joy before the Ark.
- It is used in the Holy Scripture to indicate the leaps of joy which accompany the coming of the Lord(Ps.114:4,6;Mal.4:2) and for heavenly joy.(Luke 6:23)(Fr. Tadros Malaty)
- Just remember, today also God calls you for the same.Seek this heavenly joy daily in your personal prayer.
